JAYDE, FACE OF SAVANNAH

Jayde lives in Wisconsin and is the daughter of our author, Nicole Vandervest. Her character is in our second book, "Hattie Hooper's a Happy Hooper" which is coming out soon! She is 19 years old and likes to watch movies, swim, spend time with her family and friends. Jayde loves to encourage others with her positive, optimistic attitude and is a happy person overall. She loves to help people and is a great role model for kids of all ages!

MEGAN, was the Original "face" of HATTIE from the story

"Hattie Hooper's Helping Hands".

Megan lives in California and was the perfect choice for the face of our young Hattie Hooper. She is 14 years old, and is a role model for young kids, as well as teens her own age. Her passion is playing volleyball, being active, and she loves to read, and watch movies with her family. When she's not busy with school and her other activities, she loves to find ways to help people and donates much of her time to many organizations. Megan is someone people can look up to.

MARISSA ARBAIZA, ILLUSTRATOR

Marissa Arbaiza lives in Oxnard, California and is currently attending college to obtain her bachelors degree. She loves to draw anime characters, and create anime cartoons and story lines. When she's not drawing characters, she likes to read, watch movies, and spend time with her family.

Nicole Vandervest lives in Rochester, Wisconsin and is a published author. She loves to write stories for children and spending time with her family. She often takes inspiration from her own children who love to help her create characters. Nicole has created many characters and written many stories since she began writing more than 30 years ago and hopes to show other people that it's never too late to follow your dreams! Together with Jean Hooper, Nicole hopes to encourage children and adults of all ages to be who they are, find their passion, and follow their dreams just as she is doing!

Jean Hooper lives in Oxnard, California and is the creator of Hattie Hooper's Heroes programs . Jean encourages kids and adults of all ages to find their passion and learn about healthy habits. She introduces Hattie Hooper's Heroes with her interactive "Hoop with Me" Program, and Hooperhero and Healthy Habits workshop. With her positive energy and enthusiasm, Jean has taught and inspired hundreds of thousands of kids and adults to be who they are, be active, find their passion, and follow their dreams, just as she is doing!

Hattie Hooper is a character created by Jean Hooper and Nicole Vandervest, illustrated by Karen Kuchar, and inspired by Jean Hooper's passion for hooping. Together with Jean's love for hooping, Nicole's love for writing, and Marissa's love for drawing, they have created a character they hope will encourage kids and adults of all ages to find their passion and never give up on their dreams! KAREN KUCHAR, ILLUSTRATOR for Hattie's Hooperhood Characters

Karen Kuchar lives in Thousand Oaks, California is married and has 2 sons. After graduating from Art Center College with a degree in advertising illustration, she enjoyed a long career illustrating books and magazines for major publications around the world. Now, after being recently retired she has joined Hattie's team and is sharing her amazing talents to help inspire kids to "Be who they are" and to not try to be someone else because there is and (will only ever be ) ONE YOU! Karen enjoys drawing, painting, playing the drums, riding her horse Passion, walking her two dogs, watching old classic movies, crossword puzzles, reading autobiographies, going to art museums and hanging out with family and friends.

SKYLAR, FACE OF HAYLEY

Skylar lives in Minnesota and is the face of our character Hayley from the story "Hattie Hooper's Helping Hands." She is 17 years old, and we think she is a wonderful role model for kids and teens her age. She loves running, cooking, eating healthy, playing music, a variety of hip hop dance, traveling, spending time with her friends, watching movies, and spending time with her family. She loves to help others, and most importantly, encourage others to be happy and to enjoy life. Sklyar was the perfect choice for our Haley!
